Here are just a few of the things our clients said about Wirral Change:
‘They are my friends here; very helpful.’
‘It is a good place with good people.’
‘They walk the extra mile for you.’
‘We have an excellent relationship; they’re very proactive and very inclusive.’
‘They told me the first time what they did – the whole spectrum of services.’
‘They help me understand everything.’
‘They told me what they do and if we can’t deal with it, we’ll take you to the right
place.’
‘They’re very genuine – always looking to see what they can do for the BME

ESOL Celebration
|
| |
Wirral Change hosted today's celebration of the success of partnership working to deliver ESOL English language classes to the Black and Racial Minority community of Wirral. The event was held at the Lauries Centre and was attended by the Mayor of Wirral; Councillors Phil Davies and Jean Stapleton; and representatives of Wirral Metropolitan College, SureStart and other partner organisations who have worked with Wirral Change to make the success of ESOL possible. Following lunch and a few words from the visiting dignitaries and representatives - and from the students themselves - certificates were presented to those who have attended ESOL classes this year. The event was a great success and showed how Wirral organisations continue to work together to break down barriers to employment and training for members of the community - as well as how much students from the community have themselves achieved in the last year. |

International Women's Day |

International Women's Day is an occasion marked by women's groups around the world; it is commemorated at the United Nations and is designated in many countries as a national holiday. When women on all continents, often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, come together to celebrate their Day, they can look back to a tradition that represents at least nine decades of struggle for equality, justice, peace and development.
This year's Women's Day was held on Tuesday 3 March and some photos can be seen above. The day included representatives from local community organisations; performances of dance, drama and music from many cultural backgrounds; and a visit from the Mayoress of Wirral. Wirral Change was delighted to see so many local BRM communities come together to celebrate the occasion.
For details of future Women's Days and similar events, please contact Wirral Change.
